The purposes of our society are:

• to advocate on behalf of all agricultural sectors and their offshoots

• to provide a forum for cooperation, communication and support among all island growers and producers

• to develop year-round marketing for island agricultural products

• to develop Hornby/Denman as a well known destination for healthy, natural food products, grown-locally, using sustainable agricultural practices

• to develop local processing facilities and systems for adding value to agricultural

• products to increase opportunities for youth, families, seniors and future generations to engage in agricultural activities

• to develop, promote and support agricultural education and stewardship

• to provide an inlet to sustainable agriculture for philanthropy

• to demonstrate how agriculture and conservation can become integrated and mutually beneficial
